 euramet-logo.bmp The EURAMET project aims to develop, set up and implement a multinational, immediately deployable unit  - European Aerial Medical Evacuation Team (EURAMET) - for short term missions to evacuate medium and lightly injured European citizens back to Europe. Johanniter International Assistance (Johanniter-Unfall-Hilfe e.V.) as Coordinating Beneficiary develops this project together with their Associated Beneficiaries, Samaritan Austria (Arbeiter-Samariter-Bund Oesterreich BV), Samaritan Slovakia (Asociacia samaritanov Slovenskej republiky) and the Government of Styria (Land Steiermark). It will consist of 14 people, including a pre-team. More see: www.euramet-project.eu

EUTAC - International Field Exercise

bild_1.jpgBetween 27th May and 30th May 2010 an international field exercise took place in the southern part of Styria/Austria. Two multinational Technical Assitance and Support Teams - TAST(German Johanniter and Cyprus Civil Defense) were tested according to their project tasks - support of an European Civil Protection Team in the field. This included set up of an On Site Operations Coordination Centre, IT support, Subsitence support, Transport support etc. Also assessments were conducted along the Austrian-Slovenian border - on both sides- with a meeting of the Slovenian Civil Protection. The exercise was also observed by international experts in disaster management - all together people from 10 differnet countries were present. After this Field Exercise they are now able to be deployed worldwide. EUTAC Field Exercise in Austria/Styria

fex-foto.jpgBetween 27th May 2010 and 30th May 2010 there will be held a Field Exercise for the European Technical Assistance Cooperation (consisting of german and cypriot members) in the southern part of Styria and northern part of Slovenia.
